Frequently asked questions
Everything about Aim528 -- what it includes, how it compares, and why it's worth it.
Is Aim528 worth it?
Yes. For a one-time $299 (free through July 28, 2026), you get an all-in-one toolkit -- 900+ original AAMC-style questions, timed exam simulators, 250+ spaced-repetition flashcards, rapid drills, a CARS pacing trainer, deep analytics, a custom day-by-day study planner with calendar export, and a med-school matcher. Most competitors charge $180-$420 every few months, or $1,000+ for a course. You pay once and keep it forever.
How is Aim528 different from UWorld, Magoosh, or Blueprint?
Three big differences: (1) it's a one-time, lifetime purchase instead of a recurring subscription; (2) it's all-in-one -- practice, analytics, and a full planner in one place; and (3) it has tools the others don't, like a calendar-exporting day-by-day planner, confidence calibration, an activity heatmap, and a 224-school MD/DO matcher. UWorld has a larger question bank and AAMC's materials are the most representative, so many students pair Aim528 with AAMC's official practice.
Are these real MCAT questions?
No. Every question and passage is original, written in AAMC style for study purposes. They are not real MCAT items, and the site is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the AAMC. "MCAT" is a registered trademark of the Association of American Medical Colleges.
Do I still need AAMC official materials?
We recommend it. AAMC's official questions and full-lengths are written by the test maker and are the gold standard for representativeness. Use Aim528 as your daily driver for content review, drilling, analytics, and planning, and work AAMC's official practice into the back half of your prep.
Is it really a one-time purchase with lifetime access?
Yes. After the launch period it's a single $299 payment for lifetime access -- no subscriptions, no renewals, and no losing access when a plan lapses. Future content and feature updates are included.
What is the launch offer?
Full access to everything is completely free, with no sign-up, through July 28, 2026. After that date it becomes a one-time $299 purchase for lifetime access.
Do I need to create an account? Is my data private?
No account is required, and nothing is sent to a server. All your progress -- answers, scores, schedule, notes -- is stored locally in your browser. You can export it to a Markdown file to back it up or move it between devices, and import it anywhere.
Can I install it as an app and use it offline?
Yes -- Aim528 is an installable web app (PWA). On phones and laptops you can "Add to Home Screen" / install it for an app-like experience. It always loads the latest version when you're online.
How many practice questions and flashcards are included?
900+ original AAMC-style questions across all four sections (including data/figure-interpretation items), 250+ spaced-repetition flashcards, and 389 rapid-drill items across 22 sets. The library is built to grow.
Does it estimate my MCAT score?
Yes. The timed exam simulators -- including a CARS-only mode and 5 full-length "real conditions" exams -- give a per-section breakdown and an estimated total on the 472-528 scale, plus an estimated percentile. (Scaling is an estimate; AAMC's official scoring is equated.)
Can I build a custom study schedule?
Yes. The planner ships with a detailed 12-week, Monday-Friday plan (about 255 specific tasks), and you can build your own: pick your plan length, study days, and exactly which topics to cover, and it generates a day-by-day schedule. You can also edit every week, day, and task, and set a duration on any task.
Can I export my schedule to Apple or Google Calendar?
Yes. Export your plan as an .ics file with one event per task, placed on the correct day and time. You choose your daily start time, the default minutes per task, and breaks -- then import into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or any calendar app.
How does the med-school matcher work?
Enter your MCAT total (or auto-fill from your best mock) and it buckets 224 US and Canadian MD and DO schools into Top candidate / Competitive / Reach based on each school's median matriculant MCAT. It's an MCAT-only orientation -- real admissions weigh GPA, experiences, essays, interviews, and residency far more -- so use it as a starting point and verify on the AAMC MSAR.
Will more questions and features be added?
Yes. The toolkit is actively developed, and lifetime access includes future updates.
What's your refund policy?
You can use everything free through July 28, 2026, so you'll know exactly what you're getting before you ever pay. If you purchase and it isn't right for you, reach out and we'll make it right.
What devices and browsers does it work on?
Any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox). The layout is fully responsive, and you can install it as an app.
Is it good for beginners and for retakers?
Both. Beginners get a guided, day-by-day plan, study guides, videos, and flashcards; retakers get deep analytics (subtopic mastery, pacing, confidence calibration) to target exactly what's holding their score back.
Is Aim528 affiliated with the AAMC?
No. It is an independent study tool. All questions are original and AAMC-style; it is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the AAMC.
